Open Top (OT) containers are primarily used for cargo that cannot be easily loaded through the door and must be loaded from above such as: machinery, glass, or cargo that extends beyond the height of standard containers.

Flat Rack (FR) containers are primarily used for loads of excessive width, length and/or height. Large machinery, heavy equipment, large rail vehicles, boats, large reels, etc. can be loaded on this type of container.
